Preserving Social & Economic Health

Our Code Enforcement Division was established to preserve and improve the physical, social and economic health of Collegedale's neighborhoods. Our neighborhoods are the environment in which we live and raise our families. Nuisances can devalue, detract and degrade the quality of any neighborhood.

Recognizing the importance of protecting the home environment, the city has adopted codes that govern the use and maintenance of property. Property code violations, if left unresolved, can deplete the value of your real estate assets.

Maintaining the Quality of Our Community

It is our job to help maintain the quality of our community. We do this through a fair and unbiased enforcement program which corrects violations of Collegedale's Municipal Code that has been adopted by the City of Collegedale's Commissioners.

Functions

Code Enforcement Division is responsible for enforcing codes which address public health and safety, including but not limited to:

Abandoned and/or inoperable vehicles Exterior property sanitation High grass, weeds, and debris Sign regulations Stagnant water

Dead and/or fallen trees Garage/Yard sale signs Home occupations Substandard structures
